Not for Emergency Use

VelocRx is not an emergency medical service. If you are experiencing a life-threatening emergency, such as chest pain, severe difficulty breathing, suspected stroke, heavy bleeding, or severe allergic reaction, dial 999 or attend your nearest Accident & Emergency (A&E) department immediately. Do not use this service for urgent medical crises.

Relationship with Your Registered GP

VelocRx is a private, supplemental healthcare provider. Our services are designed to support and complement the care you receive from your regular NHS or private GP, not to replace it.

  • We do not provide “continuity of care” for chronic, complex, or long-term conditions.
  • We strongly recommend that you maintain your registration with a local NHS GP.
  • With your consent, we will share a summary of your consultation with your registered GP to ensure your medical records remain up to date.

No Doctor-Patient Relationship via Website Content

All information provided on the VelocRx website, social media channels, and marketing materials is for general informational purposes only. Use of this website or communication with VelocRx via email or chat does not constitute a doctor-patient relationship. A formal relationship is only established once you have completed our onboarding process and a clinical consultation has commenced.

Limitations of Virtual Consultations

Digital healthcare has inherent limitations. Our clinicians provide advice based on the information you provide and the visual/auditory cues available via video or telephone.

  • If a clinician determines that a physical examination is required to ensure your safety or to reach a diagnosis, they will advise you to see an in-person healthcare provider.
  • By using this service, you acknowledge that a virtual consultation may not be appropriate for all medical concerns.

Prescribing Policy

The decision to issue a prescription lies solely with the consulting clinician and is based on their professional clinical judgment.

  • Controlled Drugs: VelocRx does not prescribe Schedule 1, 2, or 3 controlled substances (including, but not limited to, strong opiates, certain stimulants, or benzodiazepines).
  • Specialist Medications: We do not prescribe medications that require specialist initiation or ongoing hospital monitoring.

Accuracy of Information

The safety of our care relies on the accuracy and completeness of the medical history and information you provide. It is your responsibility to disclose all current medications, allergies, and known medical conditions. VelocRx and its clinicians cannot be held liable for any adverse outcomes resulting from the omission or misrepresentation of information provided by the patient.

Jurisdiction

VelocRx operates in accordance with the laws and clinical regulations of the United Kingdom. All clinicians are registered with the General Medical Council (GMC).
